We do not have a desk inside the airport. Our Keflavik office is a few minutes’ ride from the airport. When you arrive at the airport, there will be a representative with a sign with the logo. He will take you to the rental office, free of charge, on a small bus that leaves every ten minutes. The address is Flugvellir 20 and is on the way when you leave the airport to go to Reykjavík.
Third–party coverage and personal accident insurance are included in your rental CDW.
The lessee is fully responsible for any and all damage to the car with the self-risk 350.000 ISK.
Following damages are not covered by CDW insurance: e.g. negligence, driving while intoxicated, damage to tires, headlights, windscreen, and the underside of the car, damage caused by loose rocks which get thrown at the car on gravel roads, damages to the engine of the car caused by water while for example trying to ford a river.
The vehicle is delivered with a full tank and the vehicle should be returned with a full tank. If the fuel tank is less than full we will fill it up and charge for the extra fuel in addition to a small refill fee.

The only people authorized to drive the vehicle are those who are named on the contract as the main driver or additional driver.

You need a valid driver’s license in English, a valid passport, and a credit card to rent a vehicle at Go Iceland car rental.
You can add Super Collision Damage Waiver, Gravel Protection, Theft Protection, Sand & Ash Protection, and Premium Insurance Package.
Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) will lower the self-risk in case of an accident.
Gravel Protection (GP) will protect against damage to the windscreen, headlights, paintwork, and other parts of the car.
Theft Protection (TP) will lower the self-risk in case of theft.

If we can read the characters on the driver’s license, you will not need an international driver’s license.
If you haven’t chosen the premium insurance package or SCDW (Super collision damage waiver), we will block a deposit for 350.000 ISK which will be released when the car has been returned.
You need to rent a 4×4 to drive on F-roads. Other vehicles are forbidden to drive on these roads.
Yes, you need a credit card and you need one while booking the car too.
You need to be 18 years old and have had a valid driver’s license for a year.
