The last week for August’s Free Rental Car

What a busy week we all had with the possibility of an eruption in Bárðabunga and the Cultural night here in Reykjavik on Saturday. We hope all of you that attended Cultural night enjoyed it as much as we did.

Now we are into the last week of this months competition (and the end part og July is added to the August competition since we got off to a very late start, we bundled up July & August together). As usual, you all are so inventive when it comes to taking pics of the great Auk. We get fantastic pics daily as can be seen in the collage below.  With so many great pictures and videos, it’s going to be hard to chose one winner.

Bárðarbunga, the possible eruption

We are sure it must have been a very exciting week for everyone with the possibility of an volcano eruption hanging over your head. But as we have emphasized on our Facebook & Twitter accounts, there hasn’t been any concerns of physical injuries. People in the vicinity was effortlessly guided away from the danger zone (the danger zone being melting water causing floods). Road nr:1 straight north of the volcano was closed for a short period while Bárðarbunga rumbled a bit but has opened again.

Again, we want to stress that there is no reasons for concerns. Follow the English news and they will inform you of any changes and what to do if something happens. But know this, you will all be fine! 🙂
